Where did Siv get her name?
Máttaráhkká is the primordial mother and mother goddess in Sámi religion. Máttar also means soil, so the nickname Siv comes from this official name, because Siv is the goddess of earth and fertility in Viking mythology. The Viking goddess Siv has golden hair and is the wife of the thunder god Thor.
